Remote African road stretching into the horizon — AmFuels™ international operations
Our Experience

International Government Fuel Contracting Experience Since 2012

Since 2012, AmFuels™ Intl Inc has supported U.S. Government fuel requirements across international markets. Our experience encompasses ground fuel supply, aviation into-plane fueling, marine bunkering, international procurement, and logistics coordination. We have developed capabilities to address both routine supply requirements and complex operations where conventional sourcing and delivery arrangements may be insufficient.

Founded 2012

How AmFuels™ Began

AmFuels™ Intl Inc was established in 2012 to pursue U.S. Government fuel supply requirements, with an emphasis on international procurement, supplier development, and logistics coordination. From its earliest activities, the company recognized that government fuel requirements could involve unfamiliar markets, difficult operating conditions, and complex delivery arrangements. Meeting these requirements demanded reliable suppliers, practical logistics, accurate documentation, and an understanding of local commercial conditions. Over time, AmFuels expanded its experience beyond ground fuel supply into aviation into-plane fueling and marine bunkering. These activities have contributed to a broader understanding of international energy procurement and the coordination required to support government and maritime operations.

Defining Operation — Central African Republic, 2014

The Operation That Defines Our Approach

Fuel tanker truck on a dusty road — Central African Republic supply operation

"The conventional supply chain did not exist. We built one that did."

The Context

In 2014, the Central African Republic was in the midst of a severe civil conflict. There was no stable security environment and no commercial fuel distribution network. International peacekeeping forces — including a French military intervention and an African Union mission — were operating in the country, and U.S. Government requirements for fuel supply existed in that context.

The Challenge

The challenge was not simply logistical. There was no domestic fuel market to draw on. The country's limited infrastructure had been disrupted by conflict. Standard procurement channels — the suppliers, distributors, and logistics providers that government contractors typically rely on — were unavailable. The requirement existed. The conventional supply chain did not.

The Solution

AmFuels™ approached the requirement from first principles. We identified international sourcing routes that bypassed the collapsed domestic market entirely — working with suppliers in neighboring countries and through international channels that could deliver fuel products into the CAR despite the security environment. We managed the documentation, compliance, and logistics coordination required to move fuel across multiple international jurisdictions into an active conflict zone.

The Outcome

The Central African Republic operation demonstrated the ability of AmFuels™ to coordinate international fuel sourcing, documentation, and logistics under exceptionally difficult operating conditions. The experience reinforced the importance of understanding actual conditions on the ground, evaluating alternative supply routes, and developing practical solutions to demanding government requirements.

Our Philosophy

Why Difficult Problems Are Our Business

Government fuel procurement ranges from routine supply requirements to operations involving difficult geography, limited infrastructure, or unusual delivery conditions. AmFuels brings international sourcing and contract coordination experience to both established and challenging supply environments.

Our approach emphasizes understanding the requirement, identifying qualified suppliers, evaluating logistics alternatives, and coordinating the commercial and documentation requirements necessary to support delivery. When conventional solutions are insufficient, we examine practical alternatives.

Our experience in the Central African Republic illustrates this approach, while our subsequent activities in aviation fueling, marine bunkering, and international fuel procurement demonstrate its application across different products, markets, and operating environments.

Start from the actual conditions

Every complex requirement begins with a clear-eyed assessment of what is actually true — not what should be true, not what was true in a previous operation, but what is true now, in this environment, for this requirement.

Examine every angle

When the conventional solution is unavailable, the answer is not to declare the requirement impossible. It is to examine every alternative until a workable path emerges. That process takes longer. It produces better results.

Document everything

Government contracting requires documentation discipline that most commercial procurement does not. We treat documentation as a core operational function — not an administrative burden — because it is what makes complex supply chains auditable and defensible.

Build for the long term

The supplier relationships, contracting frameworks, and procurement channels we develop are built to last. We are not looking for single transactions. We are building a business that can execute complex government requirements reliably, repeatedly, over time.
